    Cochise County is nestled into the southeastern corner of Arizona and encompasses 6,250 square miles of mountains, yucca-speckled grasslands, and unique cities and towns. The incorporated areas of Sierra Vista, Huachuca City, Benson, Bisbee, Tombstone, Douglas and Willcox are in close proximity to each other and, along with the border state of Sonora, Mexico.

    Cochise County's living is enhanced by a year-round climate with an average temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The wide-open plains and mountain reaches provide a cool respite from searing summer heat in other parts of the state. The elevations of the towns offer mild summers and temperate winters and the landscape responds to the climate with beauty and abundance. Sierra Vista Municipal Airport

    Sierra Vista Municipal Airport is a joint-use municipal/military airport which shares facilities with Libby Army Airfield. It is located on Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista approximately 12 miles southwest of San Pedro Heights.


   
The airport has three runways and one helipad:

o         Runway 3/21: 4,285 x 75 ft., Surface: Asphalt/Concrete

o         Runway 8/26: 12,001 x 150 ft., Surface: CONC-E

o         Runway 12/30: 5,366 x 100 ft., Surface: Asphalt/Concrete

o         Helipad H1: 40 x 40 ft., Surface: Asphalt


   
Aviation Ground Services sells Air BP 100LL Av Gas, Air BP Jet-A fuel, Shell brand oils, and miscellaneous pilot supplies. If you need more information regarding their services, call the AGS Airport Office at (520) 452-7091 during business hours or the Public Works Operations Division at (520) 458-5775.


   
Currently, there are no commercial air service flights coming in or going out of the Sierra Vista Municipal Airport. The closest airport with commercial air service is Tucson International Airport; their web address is:
